Since the city is no longer providing the Pink Truck Service, the BHA and the Garden Club are sponsoring a Pink Truck Redux for the Neighborhood!
Tentative Date: Thursday, May 25 (please confirm on the Boylan Heights website as the date is subject to city approval)
There will be 3 locations around the neighborhood where you may drop off your unwanted items. Your items can be dropped off on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21. Please DO NOT drop your items before or after these dates!
The locations are as follows:
The same rules apply as the Pink Truck about what can be discarded: NO hazardous items, construction waste, loose leaves, tree limbs longer than 5 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter, tires, or car parts. If you have hazardous items to dispose of, you can take them to the North Wake landfill off of Durant Rd on the first Saturday of each month. Their number is 919-870-4345.
Please respect the locations as they are all private property that our neighbors have agreed to allow us to use! There will be a roped off area at each address so that you will know where to leave your items.
If you would prefer to not haul your items to one of our three drop-off points, you can have your own personal pickup at your home! The cost is $50 - the number to call at the Solid Waste Department is 919-890-3200 and they would be happy to set it up for you!
If you have any questions, please call Garden Club Chair Jessica Macaluso at 919-828-2772.
