of the April 2007 Boylan Heights Association meeting. Please refer to these minutes,
along with the agenda published in the monthly newsletter, during Tuesday
night's Boylan Heights Association meeting. The meeting will be held at 7:00
p.m., May 22, at Project Enlightenment.

I. Announcements, agenda read.
II. Jay Spain reported on Dorothea Dix progress, see newsletter
III. Two Raleigh Police officers reported on BH crime, overall crime in
neighborhood is down.
IV. Minutes approved from March meeting. Evelyn Fahy
moved to approve minutes, Lyman Collins seconded, vote
taken and motion passed, minutes approved. Various
editing changes approved. Lyman Collins moved to accept edits, Leslie
Kellenberger seconded approval of modified minutes.
VI. Evelyn Fahy proposed we add a new add the position of Immediate Past
President to the list of officers – the outgoing president would fill this
position upon election of a new president. The Immediate Past President would
help to educate the incoming President as to duties of the position, to act as a
resource, and to serve as head of the nomination committee for new officers. A
motion was made by Evelyn Fahy that the proposed amendments published in the
April 2007 Boylan Heights newsletter be officially considered and voted on
during the next two Boylan Heights Association meetings.
Evelyn Fahy also proposed that the BHA designate the most recent version of
Roberts Rules of Order as applicable for the conduct of meetings.
VII. Pink Truck report, Ray Lanier not in attendance. Possibly May 8. Lee Kirby
will investigate. (Pink truck did take place successfully.)
VIII. Report from Centennial Committee on the Tours and Tunes event, Lyman
Collins reported that approx. 650 people attended. Feedback was all positive.
IX. Committee and Special Projects
Newsletter budget proposal read, as written in the newsletter. Discussion
followed reading of proposal. After discussion, Evelyn Fahy made a motion that
the BHA consider an annual budget for revenue and expenses with a revenue year
of January to January; Lyman Collins seconded.
Evelyn Fahy proposed an amended motion that the BHA officially consider an
annual budget in the next BHA meeting. Lyman Collins seconded and the motion was
approved.
Neighborhood Watch Committee Report from Jimmy Creech.
Chris Weedy reported for Jimmy Creech that he had met with Officer Charles
Taylor on the Raleigh "Take-Lock-Hide" campaign. Officer Taylor also
reminded BH to call 911 for any suspicious activity.
Boylan Bash Committee Report from Chris Weedy. Chris Weedy issued a call for
volunteers, and announced that The Connells will perform.

nominees should attend.
