IV. Consideration of Special Fund Raising Project

        Accept donation from Lee Kirby for keg to be used for neighborhood party.

        Jimmy Creech motion, Lyman second, approved.

       

V. Consideration of Possible Installation of Streetlights Available from City

 

        Report: Lyman Collins requesting a formal request for four of the streetlights originally scheduled for Fayetteville St. to be used on the Boylan Bridge as anchors on each end. Recommend using the lights on Morgan and Hillsborough St. bridges. Lights are already paid for. Lyman Collins motion, Jimmy Creech second. Motion passes.
       

VI.
Committee and Special Projects Reports

 

a.    Officer Taylor reporting on various BH issues, crimes included vandalism, district wide several cars stolen or taken. Recommended to keep shed doors locked to keep transients out.

b.    Jimmy Creech reported that 627 Dorothea Dr. property was purchased by Progress Energy for substation use. He suggested that BH obtain more information, recommends having BH person meet with PE and getting PE to report at BH meeting. Recommend having Paul Meyer convene a meeting. Jeff Groves Moved to create a committee to look into PE use of property. Jimmy Creech second. Motion passed.

c.     Welcoming Committee, Lyman Collins reporting. Three new neighbors welcomed. 

d.    Centennial Committee, Don Davis and Evelyn Fahy attended last meeting. Progressive dinner fundraising for house tour. Also a musical concert at St. Mary’s. Montford Hall will be on tour.

e.    Garden Club Jessica Schrider Macaluso will be leaving; BHA will need to find new leadership.

f.      Web Site, Chris Weedy reporting. Updating officers and other pages.

g.    BHA Bake sale for art walk needs coordinator.

 

 

VII. Old Business

a.    Entrance sign promised by Richard Johnson / Coleman Properties not up.
